You may not know, but Sussex is a ‘fangtastic’ place to spend Halloween! Surrounded by BOO-tiful scenery and countryside, sleepy hamlets and villages, Sussex is a spooktacular destination to explore in the Autumn half-term. You could say… it’s witchin’!

We’ll stop with the terrible puns while we take you through our Halloween guide to West Sussex.

Halloween Trail Borde Hill

Around their 17 acres of garden, Borde Hill has put together a cute and spooky story trail perfect for little ghouls and ghosts! As a bonus, there’s a special prize for all helpful wizards and witches at the end, so don’t forget to dress up.

The trail only costs £3 per person in addition to entry to the grounds, which must be pre-booked. The adventure playground will be open with hand sanitiser readily available for big and little claws and the cafe is open for takeaway.

Latchetts Creamery

Pumpkin picking and spooky ice cream? Count us in! Picking pumpkins in autumn is a splendid activity for kids in the open air this Halloween season. Find the perfect pumpkin to carve at Latchetts Farm and head down to the Parlour afterwards to indulge in thick, creamy hot chocolate or a scoop of limited edition spooky ice cream!

Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre

Where’s Wally? Has been a staple of every childhood, and for an extra special day out for the spooky season, Amberley Museum and Heritage Centre is holding a Spooky Museum Search to celebrate the release of the new Where’s Wally? Spooky Spotlight Search book!

Running from 24th - 25th October and 28th October - 1st November, you can even visit before Halloween, but be quick! Tickets must be booked in advance.

The day promises to be jam-packed with light-hearted Halloween fun with spooky characters roaming around the park, plus the unveiling of a brand new surprise for 2020!

Tulleys Farm

Last, but certainly not least, is the fantastic Tulleys Farm. A short drive away from our Gatwick hotel, Tulleys Farm has hosted seasonal events and gatherings for almost 30 years. Now a huge attraction for Escape Rooms, corporate functions and events, they’ve reopened with safety precautions to bring you the most spine-tingling Halloween, just as they have done every year!

For little ghouls, Tulleys Spook Fest is the place to be, perfect for those aged 6 - 13 years. For those who want a truly family-friendly cinematic experience, Tulleys Haunted Drive-In Cinema has gone above and beyond!

Teaming up with Bentleys Steakhouse, you’re able to park up and order your favourite cinema snacks, delivered straight to your car! Tulley’s Haunted Cinema also has two separate LED screens and even speakers for your vehicle. Trust us, they have it covered.

Holiday Inn Express Gatwick Crawley Reviews

Dean,

Wales

Absolutely fantastic hotel... Booked it as a package, a very economical package with Purple Parking via Holiday Extras on our way to California via Gatwick Airport. One of the cleanest, hassle free hotels I have ever stayed in and I completely, 100% will recommend them to anyone travelling via Gatwick and will certainly use this hotel again myself. Breakfast was awesome, just what we needed to set us up for our 10 hour flight.

Very comfortable stay. Breakfast very good and staff very attentive. Easy to find and great value for money. Very welcoming and nice quiet hotel. Staff great could not fault anything. Nice and handy for Gatwick.

Angela,

Southampton

We stayed here before our flight to Crete and got a Hotel & Parking package. It was easy to find, the staff were very efficient & friendly and we had a ground floor room, which was lovely & clean. Overall a nice relaxing stay before our trip, we would definitely stay again.

This hotel was lovely and had a lovely vibe as lots of the holiday customers were excited . The hotel staff were very chatty and friendly. We arrived at the hotel too late for food but were told we could get sandwiches made up. However, we were shattered so we didn't bother taking up this generous offer. Our room was lovely and had complementary free WiFi so the kids were happy. We left our car at the hotel for a week which was secure and looked after. When we returned at 2am the following week, the staff were just as lovely and helpful. We were very happy with the service and we look forward to doing it all again next year.

Just stayed in the Holiday Inn Express at Crawley before flying out of Gatwick Airport. We booked our stay via APH car parks. We had a really good stay and the hotel had nice, clean and modern rooms with a good comfy bed. We had the added bonus of a breakfast included & check in was nice and simple with overnight parking. Well worth it to be nice and fresh for the airport.

Stayed at Holiday Inn Express Crawley for 3 nights during an in-between London/Brighton break. The breakfast was good and had a variety of foods on offer. The hotel was very clean as were the bathroom/bedrooms!

Harvey,

We stayed at Holiday Inn Express Crawley and paid for the Stay & Park package as we had an early flight the next day. I have stayed here on business before, however I forgot how good it was. Quick check in and everything was clean. We had dinner at the bar and the food was excellent, I could not fault a thing. Worth every penny!

Victoria,

Norwich

We originally booked for one night but decided to extend our stay for another night. The staff were extremely helpful and only charged us the same rate for the second night as the first. The Hotel reception and lounge (where breakfast is) is lovely and modern. The rooms are clean and well designed and we couldn't hear any noise from the airport or roads. Breakfast was good and it wasn't too busy. Overall a nice hotel that's good value for money.

We picked this hotel again to park the car during our holiday and stay overnight when we got back as our flight did not arrive until early morning. 1st class service, excellent value and very helpful staff. Would highly recommend this hotel.
